Just finished installing my open air intake, took around an hour to do... would've been quick had my car not been so old *99*. Both hose clamps were rusted at the screw, and not being able to go buy some wd-40 made it even worse:roll:. Couldn't unscrew them as hard as I tried, so just took the vice grip and broke em.. After all that, it's finally together, and a trip to the auto store tomorrow will replace the one hose clamp I still need. I don't know if it's because I have a V6, or it's like this on all cars, but I don't get much Pshhhh action. I know the V6 has a small turbo, but come on. Still up for debate on whether to make splash guard out of aluminum or the old airbox. Any feedback is nice.
In all seriousness though, the turbo IS really small and it's only running off of three cylinders. Plus, since the noise hase to travel back up the intake instead of leaving through a blow off valve, the noise will obviously not be as loud as the guy down the street with the 300ZX Twin Turbo running a pair of massive BOV's.
i'll pop in over here to say that i think it'd be a tight fit to get another turbo in on the other side of the engine and route the piping. with a lot of fabrication and time, it might be possible. my 2 cents.
Anything can be done with enough time money and dedication.
