So im in need of some serious advice. I drive a 2001 9-5 2.3t linear with an open air intake and a custom 3'' catback exhaust. Its very comfortable to drive and she's my baby. UNFORTUNATELY its an automatic and its boost lacking (1.5 sec turbo lag as well) :roll:
I also lost in a 50 punch to a bone stock Volkswagon Rabbit! :nono;
There are two options i've been considering....
1) keeping her as a daily driver but moddifying the exterior and interior to make it look nice and getting something else to go fast...
2) selling it to buy an '03-'05 9-3 aero (manual of course haha)
Wait, you have a 3" catback and open intake... live in the same town as Genuinesaab... and you HAVEN'T TUNED IT YET??? WOW!! The ECU makes all the difference. Those parts on their own will do very little. Without tuning the ECU to take advantage of them, you have a whole bunch of untapped power!
With the parts that you have, your car could easily handle stage 2, which brings you up to pants-pooping power levels easily on par with an Aero.
yeah, i've been in quite a bit. the only reason why i haven't tuned it is because my funds haven't been that great. i just got a wallet stolen with $500 and my cards in it that i would've gladly put in my car. I WANT TO. and i will as soon as i can. im just weighing my options...
