I want a performance exhaust, but I can't find one on the internet besides the jetex. I saw the remus on youtube on my exact car, a 1999 9-5 2.3t, but cannot find a single one for sale on the net.
Custom Tubes Inc (CTI) makes a great exhaust! I just installed their 3" downpipe, single high flow cat, 3" exhaust with magnaflow silencer and muffler and couldn't be happier!
I'm a big advocate of modding your stock exhaust pipes. I'm not so happy with the noise of the Apexi muffler I chose, but I still have a catback for under $300. :cheesy:
Genuine Saab, Jak Stoll, CTI and any good local shop in ur town. U just have to decide what u want out of a exhaust. Do u want all performance and it being loud or do u want a upgrade from stock but not to much noise? If u get a staright thru muffler design then it is going to be pretty loud. On my last 9-5 I had a 3 inch pipe with a Magnaflow straight thru muffler a local guy built it for me for 260 beans. My wife was ready to kill me over the noise! On this one I went with a 2.5 inch pipe with a Magnaflow Turbo muffler and we love it! Nice toned sound when idling and crusiing but when u hit the highway it is almost as quite as a stock exhaust. The current exhaust setup doesn't seem like it has as much grunt but I can still hear my radio!:cheesy:

also forgot if u want to go really cheap then replace ur mid muffler with straight pipe and put Magnaflow muffler on it. I did have this combo for the last year until last week and the muffler shop did it for 125 beans.

When you had the 3 inch straight through magnaflow, did you have a center muffler? I'm thinking of swapping my apexi for a 2.5 inch magnaflow straight through, but I'm single and like loud shouty things.
Although I have to admit I was never one for loud pipes...
Ask me what motorbike I prefer, and I'll pick the sound of the Japanese crotch rockets over a Harley Davidson (or any other hog) any day. That isn't to say I don't like the choppers, but sound wise I prefer "refined and performance" over "loud, obnoxious, and wake-all-my-neighbours-when-I-drive-by"

I built one 3 years ago magnaflow 3inch cat and magnaflow 3 inch straight muffler. Super quiet on low load, cant hear it ruising on the highway and just throaty sound when flooring it. I like it, even thought it costed me much more in materials than I would have ever tough ( that car is long! ) and I used tick 316ss because it's mostly a winter car. If I'd do it again I'd use 304 (316 or 321 is a waste), lose the cat and use v-bands!!! But for now I'll just clean that one up...
