about time i posted my project..

been a very slow process due to being a shift worker but i have finally moved on and will be working days as of 2 weeks..

so far

brakes done, new rotors and master cylinder,
new tyres but i have found a set of super aero 16"s and if the
price is right i will pick them up too.

in the future i will get it painted black with maybe a clear coat of gold through it ... any opinions on that ?

motor is running a bit rough and the tappets are pretty loud, done a motor/tranny oil change, new exhaust is on the way and it currently blows a bit of smoke, slighty grey/white and im not sure if its because of the humid weather/moisture buildup as im currently not driving it.

I wouldn't do anything bizzare with the paint-job. It does not work well with the c900 shape. Of course that's just my opinion so you can ignore and carry on anyway. All colours have their flaws - black looks the best when the car is clean but you only have to breathe on the car and it's very dirty again. Silver, grey, green, red and blue are all great original Saab colours but the best colour must be the pearl-white of the original SPG.

Here's a rusty example from one of the other project threads. If I were going to change the colour of my car then pearl white would be on the list! Notice how it's not really very white...

ah im gonna go with black,iv'e found a guy who does a lot of classic cars and the paint will look pretty special....

always wanted a black 900 aero...

Black with lots of clear-coat... but leave out the gold. Trust me, I've seen what happens to these cars after they've had a 'wikkid' paint job. They never look that good!

No, Leave it silver.:) In my opinion silver looks great on a c900.

I think all Silver looks really good but I understand why you want Black. Changing the colour of a car, on the other hand, is an awful lot of work so think hard before you do it.
