The past couple of months my FOB trunk release nor the release on the door is working unless it is actuated multiple times. The motor runs but trunk does not unlatch/open unless I lift it right when I hear the electric actuator engaging. The actuator is working but it is like it unlocks and then relocks at the same time.
Is the motor difficult to replace? It's a 2003 Vert (same as 99-02) so I am in the right forum.

The trunk lid must be adjusted correctly
The sensors must also be set properly
These procedures are in the WIS
Things wear, loosen and must be adjusted/serviced now and again.
Why replace the motor ?
WIS = workshop information system - from Saab..No, I have no WIS, on the Haynes, which has a little info.
Inspection/Lubrication/adjusting/cleaning are all part of a good service.Too many dealers do not do this - there is a ton of stuff to know..particularly in todays cars...
As a guess, I'd remove the interior panel and see what is going on; after the catch and sensor pass muster..
