so i get to replace my transmission with a used one today, its automatic. anything i should do to the used one before i slap it in there? anyhting i can check or replace? Ive almost got the old one out, couple more hours and shell be ready for a new old tranny, i pray to God that it works!
The usual cleaning procedure and replace seals as necessary. Check the service plugs. Maybe drain the converter and replenish the ATF.
I thought these lasted forever:nono; ..
Remove, clean, repack the NSS( neutral safety switch), aks - range switch.
Clean, inspect everything in the engine bay - now that it is much easier.
Check the engine for leaks. Do the crank pulley seal as necessary.
