First off, hello Saab lovers. I'm new to this forum and a new used Saab owner.
I'v searched this forum for info on a 1994 900 se, and come up with not much.
My questions are:
1. I'm looking to purchase a new set of summer rims and tires, I like this set.
2. What is the max size I could use without modifcation?
I purchased this car from a freind who is moving back to Europe for $2000.00 Cdn. Certifide & E-tested 175k, He bought it new.
5 speed 2.5 V6
I'm pretty sure it is just by looking at his wheels. The V6 emblem on the grille confirms it :cheesy:
Chris, you can go as high as 19" without modifying a thing. What you need to look for is the offset, The bore size and a 5X110 pattern. You can get away with a 5X112 or 5X108 pattern but may have to buy hubcentric or shuffle bolts.
The width of the wheel counts also when you buy tires, you don't want to have any rubbing and you don't want the tires to look stretched if the wheel is too wide for the tire you can fit.
Hey, a fellow Canadian. I'm from Montreal, where are you from? Toronto????
Replace the timig belt and tensionner ASAP or regret it later :cheesy:

Yes 2.5 litre V6, 5 speed.
Im planning on 17' rims, so I should be good. I live in Niagara Falls, Ont.
The motor was just rebuilt 5000k ago at the dealership$$$$$$
Like I said in my previous post, the only reason I got this baby is because my buddy is moving back to Europe. For $2000.00 this is the best car for the dollar Iv ever bought. I also own a cream puff 1980 Caddilac Coup Deville that Iv sank a ton of money into.

If it is any concellation you're at the right Saab forum for V6 top tips and handy hints.
I am well pleased to see you have the option of the manual, it is really low geared and has the combination of being punchy quick and frugal on fuel too.
With the engine work was the oil cooler changed? If not look into this sooner rather than later.
17" rims will sit a treat, don't bother with 18" I did and regretted it, so much so I changed them back.
Look into 17" that are around 7 or 7.5 wide with offset in the range of 38-45mm.
It is a chore to change but not really expensive; if you pay someone though, expect a 4 hour bill or so. It is a part i would change routine now if I had one of these puppies apart, that is all. If the coolant has been changed rigorously to the service interval it should be OK.
