Hey guys..Car is doing great other than some humming noise during acceleration. I have a auto so when i have my foot on the pedal just right and the humming starts and if i do not press or let go of the gas pedal the humming continues. It typically starts during higher pressure. Im hoping its only the BPV but not sure. Dealer too expensive on my pocket right now. Let me know what you saab'ers think.

Turbo's tend to smoke when failing so humming doesn't sound like turbo failure. I would start with the recirculating Bosch valve, they are known to make hooting and other strange noises when failing. Trace the small bore hose off the dump valve back to the engine bulkhead. Remove the hose from where its connected and clean the end of it, then suck on it! If you go red in the face the valve is fine, if you can suck air through it then the diaphragm has gone and it will need replacing. Whether you change it for another Bosch unit or the more reliable Hyperboost or Forge recirc valve is up to you, there's no performance gain just a prettier unit.

I had the same problem on mine and found that the silicon hose going to the BPV was off. It made a humming noise when boosting that reminded me of a cell phone vibrating on a table.

I did clean the valve and reinstalled earlier in the week. The sound is still present but not as long or loud. Most likey the cheesy valve. I guess ill order the forged one.

Just wondering, did anyone here of the foorged bosch valve on EBAY. LOOKS LIKE A GOOD BUY. Let me know what you think. Is this the same thing as the bypass valve? I still haven't got around to checking mine (mainly cause I'm stupid and need to be pointed to exactly how to find it).

That looks like a really cheap asian knockoff... I wouldn't trust it to hold boost for a second. Get a reputable bypass valve like a Forge, Hyperboost or Bailey.
