Recommended Tyres for Aero

:D Hi Everyone,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2000 Aero, had the car for 2 weeks now and the car just keeps impressing me.

This is the first Saab I've had.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed before, but does anyone have a strong recommendation for tyre choice for their Aero/9-5?

I'll have to replace the front pair in a few weeks. I drive the car hard occasionally, so would like a tyre that handles well, but would like to keep the noise levels down.

My personal recommendation for tyres is the Goodyear F1 Eagles GSD3...
Very grippy, quiet and good all round value!

altho murph dont like like em i'd recommend avon zz1 or toyo proxy's tried em both n u can't beat em on price or quality :wink:

Have used the Avon ZZ3's and they were good..
But the F1's were only £3-4 more than the avons for a much better tyre!
The toyo proxies are well regarded in scooby circles.. so I'd imagine they are also a very good tyre!
The F1's also came out top in the EVO tyre test...

I did read the Evo test, but wanted some "real world" reviews.

I wasn't sure about the F1 GS-D3. I had F1 GS-D2 on my previous car and wasn't that impressed, but if you rate the GS-D3 I'll give them a try.
