Well I just got home from picking up a 90' 900t 5spd with 138k , white with the burgandy leather. Its seems to be a pretty solid ride. I purchased it from a co-worker of my mother. they had owned it for 6 years and put close $4000 into it. just little things here and there. I have maintenence records since they bought it in 01'. I plan to do an ebay Fmic setup ,probably a 2.5" ebay piping exhaust system , custom roof rack basket, and a pair of kc slim lite driving lites for infront of the grill. It does need some other minor things such as headliner, stereo, new window motor, and i cant forget the wheel bearing. I will be driving this car to colorado for the winter season so i want to try and get this to be reliable and practical.
So now that i have the 900 to drive daily and a newly acquired garage bay, I can put the 99 in the bay and start to tear her apart. I am ordering new bushings for the 900 donor car rear suspension next tuesday( pay day) and by then i will have it all prepped and painted. I am planning on running all poly bushings because i can chip away at purchasing them. It wont seem like so much money if i space it out between rear and front. I should buy some rebuilt calipers for the rear however i may just run the originals for now. They are in need of a good cleaning and some paint. After the rear suspension is finished then i can finally pull the engine out of my 92' 900 donor car and get the front suspension sorted out and installed. Then comes the body work....
I will get pics of the 900 and the 99 in the garage tomarrow as long as all goes well at the RMV tomarrow. I never go in there thinking it will go smoothly based on my last few trips.
