my NG900's stock shift knob is loose and turns around effortlessly. This is really annoying me. Is there anyway to skrew it back on, or replace it with another shift knob? I already tried twisting it both ways, and there seems to be no tightening or loosening.

If you've the generic rubberised one then most people use this situation to upgrade to leather or wood.
If you have one of the better ones then it may be a case of trying to work it off fully and re-glueing.

lol mine does this and i have the wood knob...
what i do is i turn it back to normal and give it a little fist pound and it clicks or snaps back into place for a few hundred more miles
seems to work so im not worried about it lol

My rubbery one does this! Today, while driving, I got fed up with it and pulled it off! It needed a little persuasion but is not too hard to remove. I'm not tempted to upgrade to some fancy one. I'm going to glue it back on. Rubber rules!

Just pulll it off, be carefully not to knock yourself in the forehead. Put some epoxy on and push it back on. Mind the reverse lock lever.
