At lunch time I took a chance and stoped by my local speed shop and checked to see if he had any fun things laying around like a BOV, boost gauge, I/C, MBC...
He reach's around the counter and tosses me a HKS BOV then tells me to give him $40.... SOLD BABY!!!!
So I'm looking at this thing, thinking how in the heck am I going to mount it???... So I got home and spent the rest of the lunch break hooking it up, figured out a way to mount it.
I went driving it on the way back to work and noticed a change in the way it held boost, spooled up faster(well at least it felt that way) But it did hold boost better, felt like more power...
only thing I don't care for is the sound is not what I expected...
Who else has one? and how did you install it? and does any one have any pictures?
What part of the sound did you not expect? Is it more whistle-like, whoosh-like, squeaky? I want to get a BOV but I'm not sure which sound I would like best. I want it to go "PSSSSSSTTTCHHH". I wish the english language had more words like psssssstttchhh.
theres all allen head screws that hols the outter case on if its a real one, slide it off and take the insert out it will make it more of just a whoosh of air sound.
the forge peice is really nice. suprises alot of people
if your looking to get a nice sounding BOV to let people know "hey im not an average saab driver" the forge peice is definitely a good heads up for everyone else.

Ya it has lots of allen screws going around a roundish cover, I saw a purple thing inside of it...
I'll give that a try and see if it sounds any better, Thanks!
The HKS will always sound high pitched, and I love it. I know its ricey but it sounds nice to my ears.
I had the TurboXs RFL for about a year and its just a loud PSSSHHHH, not high pitched at all, still have it if your interested in that instead of the HKS. PM me about it.
As far as mounting the HKS I had the aluminum flange welded on to it, although Wasaabi on here made a custom mount for it that works nice because then its reversible and easier to put other ones on if needed.
You dont think its loud enough???
i suppose when I first got it is was kinda quiet, but after I put on my MBC and cranked the boost up, that thing is just as loud as my old turboxs rfl
Well you're fooling your engine with how much air is in there, which makes your engine to run lean. Then engine is only getting enough fuel for 15psi but you're giving it alot more. I revert that asap. Its not good at all.
