Yes, many of us have emailed with him and talked about his car. I use him as a reference for my times in 60-90mph, his car 2.85 seconds, my car 3.22 seconds.
Twin pipe 1/4 mile with drag radials 13.0 at 112mph, My car 13.8 at 109mph with crappy street tires.
His car has a Precision 34 turbo, its almost as big as a gt35 turbo.
Check his website, its all on there, tubular exhaust manifold, monster turbo, 4" twin-pipe inlet one to lower bumper cover, one to engine bay, hence the name twin pipe, and the twin exhaust! Big custom dp and full exhaust, Big racing ic, big ic piping and tb. Nordic sw to run it all.... its a monster for sure
the reason for his design with the way he has it set up... is to get the coolest air from down inside the bumper... but at the chance of hydrolock (i don't know if i spelled that right)... the filter getting wet and sucking water into the turbo... air would get drawn from the path of least resistance... thus being the filter inside the engine bay.... very clean and functional setup...
I run mine down in the bumper with 3" mandrel bent tubing from my huge 6"x
18" K&N extreme style conical filter, pulls air in the top of the filter too and I have had no issues in rain, snow or whatever, what would cause a problem is going through a deep pudle or river in the street and if I did that and let the water level get above my bumper, I would be in trouble and that is where the second pipe comes into play.
I just avoid rivers and here in Colorado its very rare that water becomes an issue. If you live in Florida or something were it does flood, you might run across 2 feet deep water and then I would be worried
K&N makes a water resistance cover that slips over the conical filter. I want one of those for my set-up...
