screamingreen97 25-04-07, 10:50 AM NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE
i cant stress that enough!
Trying to figure if I like it or not, and I think i do. It looks pretty damn cool for sure, and is different. I would have gone the other way, blue inner and black outer. And this is coming from a person that has a porsche that has all blacked out fuchs wheels. In other words I have been sent to porsche hell for doing that to these original wheels.
Saabrunner05 25-04-07, 12:18 PM wheels look sweet!!!!
Are you going to get rid of that molding on the doors?
SaabLV93 25-04-07, 01:31 PM where did you get your carbon hood? I want one!
pade900 25-04-07, 02:25 PM where did you get your carbon hood? I want one!
It was a company in Sweden called Reptil who made a few of them. Bought mine used off a guy in Sweden.
SaabLV93 25-04-07, 02:30 PM i tried to google them with no luck. is there a web site? or are they gone and i'm too late?
Viggen_93 25-04-07, 02:53 PM damn man ur viggen wheels look awesome, well done.
pade900 25-04-07, 03:39 PM i tried to google them with no luck. is there a web site? or are they gone and i'm too late?
It no longer exists. Forgot to mention that.
hkayssi 25-04-07, 03:58 PM where did you get your carbon hood? I want one!
Since you're in the US, you'll have better luck buying a used one that was made by Kevin Yankton here's a pic of 2 CF hoods he made.

Unfortunately he's out of the business as well
I think the mold might still be up for sale though. I just saw it.
http://www.kyankton.net/sale.htm
SaabLV93 25-04-07, 04:00 PM that sucks. the one person i know who makes carbon parts for saabs has all his molds up for sale. I guess i'm outta luck. unless some up-and-coming carbon fabricator decides to buy up those molds and produces the same quality products. I wish!
They're great cars, just a bit heavy for me. If you can change the hood, fenders, doors, and rear qtr panels to carbon, i bet that's at least 200lbs. that could be shed. then change the front seats to some sparcos or recaros, and there goes another 40-70lbs. ahhhh.....at least i can dream....

I'm guessing you're talking about Kevin Yankton. I think Abott Racing bought some of his molds but I'm not sure which. I saw something recently for sale saying Abbot Racing on it and looked like Kevin's work. I think there was a thread on this forum about it too (within the last month)
SaabLV93 25-04-07, 04:12 PM for sure i know it was the engine cover. i wonder if anyone is campaigning to perhaps convince the guys at GS to buy them up...? that would be great so the prices wouldn't skyrocket. somehow i think abbott will have a bigger mark up...

I agree with you on that. Kevin's prices were very high as he sold very limited quantities!
By the way Pade. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice wheels :cheesy:
SaabLV93 25-04-07, 04:36 PM yes, just like everyone else...niiiiiiice wheels. now i'm wondering if i should get mine painted....

whaddya think pade? gunmetal and keep the lip polished?
Troll_speed 25-04-07, 05:16 PM This car goes on my very short list of all-time favorite Saab 9-3/ng900
:suprised;
*applause*
But that orange in the turn signals kind of sticks out...
hkayssi 25-04-07, 06:49 PM Yea that orange reflector has to go. The car looks perfect otherwise :cheesy:
lowbudgethero 25-04-07, 08:26 PM i like it, very nice looking car
Mike W. 25-04-07, 09:28 PM Very nice car, I agree that you must take out the orange reflectors. The first picture is my desktop background until you take better pictures with a good background. ;)
snowboardin58 25-04-07, 10:09 PM wow , those wheels look great! It would not work with just any car/color combo, though. Yes, need clear corners on that car, but I prefer them on my cars. I wonder how smoked would look?
wow :o that looks great. As everyone else said take out the orange reflectors and I'd also tint the windows.
nbndtrain 25-04-07, 11:15 PM Turned out nice. Looks VW inspired. Looks like you lost a jack point cover. Those are such a pain. Not to mention $$$$$
PAviggen 25-04-07, 11:33 PM those look hot. props
pade900 26-04-07, 03:44 AM Thanks a lot for all the positive feedback.
I thought long and hard how to paint them and I have to say they came out way better than I expected, so needless to say I'm very pleased :)
It's funny with the corners, here in Scandinavia people upgrade to US-spec corners while you guys go for clear corners :D But I think I might have to peel off the orange bit thought. Smoked might also work since I will get a modded carbon grill soon so it would go better with the hood :)

I don't know could almost go eigher way on your car w/ clearing the corners. Some how it works the way it is in a touring car splash of color sort of way... I wouldn't smoke the lights... But a modded carbon grill would look VERY sexy!
hkayssi 26-04-07, 10:36 AM Yea the carbon fiber grille would look nice. Kevin Yankton did it although he did it with an NG900 grille. Looks very nice :cheesy:

Hell yeah! Really nice rims!
I think those would look really sweet in gunmetal with a polished lip! I'd say go for it
Are those 19" by the way?
project13 26-04-07, 05:47 PM Those are so sick I love them!!!!!
