Saab presents the 900 Classic Collection; a collection that represents the pinnacle of the Saab 900's evolution. Three special models; all sharing the Saab philosophy of form following function, yet all with a distinct character of their own. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), power steering, audio system, asymmetric polished alloy wheels, heated front seats, headlamp elevation control and wash/wipe, and electric windows and mirrors are standard equipment common to all three models. Yet it's the additional features that make the Saab 900 Classic Collection so special.
Take the stunning 3-door 900 T16 Ruby Edition for example. A true drivers car powered by Saab's celebrated 2-litre 16 valve turbocharged engine, developing a breathtaking I85 bhp and delivering 212 lb ft of torque at just 2,800 rpm. The Ruby Edition's coachwork is finished in distinctive deep red mica metallic paint with colour co-ordinated bumpers, a rear tail spoiler and a lowered sports chassis. This encapsulates an air-conditioned interior furnished with unique 'buffalo' leather with Zegna pure new wool inserts in the seats and door panels. An electric steel sunroof, cruise control, and a leather steering wheel, gear-knob and gaiter complete the extensive list of equipment.
For the fresh air fiends the 900 Convertible is the classic open top car for four people. Both the 900 S Aero and the TI6S Special convertibles have a fully electrically operated top with a heated, glass rear window, a feature found on few other convertibles. Both models have leather-faced seats, front and rear head restraints, audio systems (with a CD autochangcr in the T16S) and the sporting Aeroflow kit.
The exciting 145 hhp 900 S Aero is available in a variety of colours, including a new mica metallic shade of Aubergine, whilst the 175 bhp* 900 Tl6S convertible Special is exclusively available in metallic black.
