Specifications - Engine

Four cylinders. Double overhead camshafts. Four valves per cylinder. Two balancer shafts. Electronically controlled throttle. Saab Trionic engine management system, which controls fuel injection, ignition (Saab Dl), throttle and turbo boost pressure. Turbocharger with integrated wastegate. lntercooler. Three-way catalytic converter and Lambda sensor.

Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). Power assisted, grooved disc brakes all round, front discs with internal ventilation. Handbrake acting on separate rear brake shoes.

Suspension

Front: MacPherson spring struts with twin-tube gas shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar.

Rear: H-shaped, twist-beam rear axle with inner and outer anti-roll bars. Coil springs and twin-tube gas shock absorbers.
